THE Institute of Engineering Rwanda (IER) AND MUA Rwanda PARTNER TO STRENGTHEN PROTECTION AND VALUE FOR ENGINEERING PROFESSIONALS
What if being part of a professional engineering institution meant more than registration?
What if it also meant access to better protection, professional development, and opportunities to grow?
The Institute of Engineering Rwanda (IER) and MUA Rwanda Ltd have signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance this vision and strengthen support for engineering professionals across Rwanda.
What does this partnership mean for IER members?
Through this collaboration, eligible IER members will have access to preferential insurance terms covering key risks associated with engineering practice, including professional indemnity, construction projects, machinery and equipment, workers, vehicles, and property, subject to policy terms and underwriting requirements.
Beyond insurance, the partnership will support Continuing Professional Development (CPD), technical training, workshops, conferences, exhibitions, and risk-awareness initiatives to help engineering professionals make informed decisions and manage professional risks more effectively.
Why does this matter?
Engineering decisions carry significant responsibilities. The right insurance protection can help engineering professionals manage financial exposure arising from professional claims, workplace accidents, equipment damage, and other unforeseen events. Strengthening risk awareness is therefore an important step towards a more resilient and accountable engineering profession.
Looking ahead, Institute of Engineering Rwanda (IER) and MUA Rwanda will work together to create opportunities for knowledge-sharing, strengthen professional practice, and make membership increasingly valuable to the engineering community.
This partnership reflects IER’s continued commitment to advancing the engineering profession while ensuring that its members have access to practical benefits that support their work and professional growth.
