Eng. Lydie Uwantege is the Operations Manager of the Institution of Engineers
Rwanda. She is a licensed Civil Engineer with 8 years of experience in
infrastructure projects. Her expertise includes feasibility studies, detailed
design, budgeting, permitting, procurement, construction management, and
commissioning major public works such as hydroelectric dams, water supply projects,
and roads. She also has extensive knowledge in construction and contract management
and public procurement of construction projects.
She graduated from KIST, now the University of Rwanda College of Science and
Technology in Civil Water and Environmental Engineering. Lydie holds a Diploma in
Contract
Management specializing in FIDIC Contracts from the College of Contract Management
in the UK. She is currently pursuing an EMBA at Quantic School of Business &
Technology (USA)
Eng. Lydie is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and serves on the
Governing Engineers Council (GEC). Lydie has served in different Impact
Organisations such as Engineers Without Borders USA and UK, and the World Economic
Forum (WEF) Global Shapers in different capacities ranging from; Professional
Mentor, Technical Paper Reviewer, and Impact Officer.
